Wow wow wow wow! I had high expectations, high hopes, and I was not let down. Newly vegan, missing California burritos, and El Veganito exceeded my wildest imagination of what a vegan San Diego style Mexican Food shop could be. I ordered the California burrito and added guac & it was fabulous. First off, the burrito was HUGE! Fries were perfectly crispy outside and soft inside. The adobada was so meat like. If the cheese had coconut oil, I couldn't tell because it didn't have that weird vegan cheese after taste created by coconut oil. The Chipotle crema was just spicy enough and so creamy. Guac addition was fresh and generously portioned. I can't wait to go back and try other items, I'm sure I'll be just as blown away. I ate here with my non-vegan partner & even they enjoyed it and said the adobada was really tasty. My only gripe is the price - but if you go on discount days it's very similar to pricing at non-vegan taco shops. Either way, worth it for an occasional splurge.
this was such a great find! i never expected to get a giant delicious burrito in a food court, but i was delighted by my experience here and would honestly come here every day if i could. these burritos are actually massive! definitely worth the slightly higher price point because the portion sizes are huge and will leave you with leftovers. not me though because the burrito was so delicious i had to finish it! service was great and the food didn't take long at all! everything was hot and they gave us plenty of extra sauces to go with our order. great place to impress both the vegans and nonvegans in your group!
Amazing, fresh, delicious Vegan food! I love El Veganito. I recommend everything here. This visit I got the jackfruit Carnitas tacos. Please support local Vegan businesses.
